Many women considering abortion do so without knowing the progress of their child.
Had they been aware, it is very likely than many of these woman would not choose abortion.
At 13 weeks from conception, a fetus’ vocal chords and auditory sense are present [1].
So even after these children are able to make noise with their vocal chords, there are still some who deny their humanity.
Although these children do have a voice already at 13 weeks, they are still not able to speak up and defend themselves.
Their fragile lives are still very much in need of protection.
Especially in cases where the preborn life has made such progress, mothers should be made aware of this.
When a preborn baby will feel the pain of an abortion and be able to make vocally react, this should not be kept secret.
