Pro-Choice Euphemisms: Snipping

In order to try to gain public acceptance of abortion, many in the pro-choice movement have used outlandish terms to describe the lives of the preborn.

These terms include “blob of cells,” “uterine contents,” and “fetal tissue.”

However, what may not be very well-known is that even abortionists themselves have developed phrases to try to convince themselves that what they are doing is something other than taking the life of an innocent child.

One abortionist, Dr. Kermit Gosnell, referred to his method of taking babies’ lives as “snipping” [1].

What “snipping” involved was inducing labor, forcing the live birth of viable babies, and then ending their lives by severing their spinal cords.

Prosecutors in this case estimate that Gosnell did this at least hundreds of times before his clinic was shut down.

While most abortionists may try to put a friendlier face on abortion, this case shows how extreme the disregard for human life becomes when we use terms and phrases to deceive ourselves into believing abortion is anything other than taking an innocent life.
